Wetlands (WAs) are ecosystems at the interface between terrestrial and aquatic environments, continental or coastal, natural or artificial, that provide essential ecological services for fauna and flora species and for the well-being of human populations. The research aimed to identify the main sources of information accessed by farmers to seek knowledge about wetlands (WAs). The study was carried out in the Alto Uruguai region, northern Rio Grande do Sul, covering 187 family farmers. Data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire, available on the Google Forms Platform. Through the study it was found that only 21.93% of farmers participated in training on WAs and 20.32% accessed information on the subject. The sources of information accessed by these farmers were: internet, printed materials, television and radio, as well as information made available by agricultural assistance institutions, Rural Unions, NGOs and Educational Institutions. The variables age, education and the presence of WAs on rural properties influence participation in training. Education level influenced the number of sources consulted about wetlands (WAs), indicating that when the education level increases, so does the search for information. The study points out the necessity of educational formation, training, communication and social mobilization of individuals and organizations involved with family farming in the Region on this topic.

Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit articles describing essentially the same research to more than one journal. The corresponding Author should ensure that there is a full consensus of all Co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.
Editors: Editors should evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit. An Editor must not use unpublished information in the editor's own research without the express written consent of the Author. Reviewers: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should be conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments, so that Authors can use them for improving the paper. Any selected Reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the Editor and excuse himself from the review process. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
