Abstract

The general, macroscopic and microscopic wood characteristics of Guarea lessoniana A. Juss. (Meliaceae) area described. Quatitative and stereological data from the anatomical structure are also furnished. The anatomical description shows great coincidence with literature remarks on genus Guarea. It was also found a good structural similarity with Guarea pohlii C. DC. and Guarea spiciflora A.Juss., two species from the Argentine region.
