This article analyzes the phenomenon of the "UFSM Stripe" meme from the conceptual intersection of Public Communication (Brandão, 2007) and Platformization (Van Dijck; Poell; De Waal, 2018). It aims to understand how platforms shape the circulation of meanings within a public organization. The study identifies the information flows and tensions between institutional communication and spontaneous civil society demonstrations. Based on exploratory research, posts on digital platforms about the "UFSM Stripe" meme are analyzed, resulting in a flowchart to understand the communication circuit generated by the phenomenon. Finally, the phenomenon highlights how communication strategies interact in spaces of (re)production of meanings and public visibility.
