Abstract

This issue of the journal Literatura e Autoritarismo was developed having as its main motivation an experience teaching Brazilian Culture at the University of Minnesota. With the support and funding of the Fulbright Foundation and CAPES, I was able to work as a Visiting Scholar from March to May 2009. I taught a course called “Modern and Contemporary Brazilian Culture”. The heterogeneous group of students included PhD students in Spanish, and also interested in Political Science, Brazilianists, comparatists, listeners.
