Abstract

The texts gathered here were originally presented at the “Colóquio Projeto Themático Escritas da Violência Module I”, which took place on October 16, 17 and 18, 2007, at FFLCH-USP. In this colloquium, undergraduate and graduate scholarship holders linked to the project spoke. The event was organized by the main researchers of the Thematic Project and organizers of this dossier and was also promoted by the Research Group on Literature and Authoritarianism (CNPq, coordinated by Prof. Rosani Umbach UFSM), by the Department of Classical and Vernacular Literature at FFLCH-USP, by Graduate Program in Brazilian Literature at FFLCH-USP and at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo. In these works we see different approaches to the issue of violence in its relationship with literature.
