Presentation - The forgetting of violence

Abstract

Under the title "O forgetting violence", the fourth issue of Revista Eletrônica Literatura e Autoritarismo selected texts that have a relationship with History and with a critical view of the cultural formation of societies that have suffered a kind of "erasure" of the processes of subjugation to which they were subjected. Thus, the increasingly current and urgent reflection on the cultural values existing in our society(ies), not letting memory become loaded with myths, contributing to the masking of reality, plays a fundamental role in respect for life and human dignity.
