Presentation - Authoritarianism, violence and melancholy

Abstract

This Electronic Journal publishes, in its edition number 06, works presented during the ABRALIC symposium, which was organized by Professor Jaime Ginzburg, under the focus of the thematic table that gives title to this edition: authoritarianism, violence and melancholia [As part of the International Congress of the Brazilian Association of Comparative Literature, from July 18 to 21, 2004, in Porto Alegre - RS]. Based on these discussions – so fundamental, but still not very widespread within the reality of research and academic debate and taking into account all the problems related to this theme and the discussions proposed by the Literature and Authoritarianism Research Group – these works are based on insert, seeking the necessary space in the articulation between criticism and research.
