Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to examine the scope and depth of the influence of Arthur Schopenhauer's work on Friedrich Nietzsche's thought, especially in his genealogical critique of morality and philosophical dogmatism. In this context, Nietzsche's critique of Schopenhauer is made in light of his insertion in the philosophical lineage of German idealism.
