Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the existence of a regional shift of the electorate of the progressive parties that, in distinct historical moments, have the opportunity to occupy the Presidency of the Republic. The guiding hypothesis of this research is that such parties are born with electoral bases in the South and Southeast, and after their passage through the power, move electorally to the North and Northeast.
