Deleuzian movements in the research in Visual Arts: strategies to a hybrid practice through the image

This article conduces a reflection about method in the contemporary visual arts, proposing a dialogue with the philosopher Gilles Deleuze and his plane of immanence. Having the image as a guide, it tracks the scope of the current artistic production, emphasizing how artists conceive the survivals of the image. In an academic context that deals with complexity, the text analyses how this practice and its processes underlie the construction of singular research methods. It thus considers the ability of practice and theory walking together, having as premise to make the making, to think about the making, to think about the thinking, to make the thinking. It is concluded that the image and the artistic process are great potencies of research in the quest for the thought and practice of the image that considers differences.Downloads
