This essay results from a research on writing and image potentialities to formative processes. The text proposes a discussion on how we effectively know what interests us when writing and researching. Considering some personal experiences on formative processes by the author, the aim is to highlight questions, discomforts, and concerns not yet transformed into solid arguments, but in in-gestation drafts of thoughts and sensations. The argument is that the notion of “gambiarra”, when incorporated into the teaching practice with art, allows a blurred path of the self, attentive to the alterity which is alive on the body, the writing, and the research. The words, only possible by the sweat of the classroom exercises, slide across the surface of the essay.
