Modernism: working with Virginia Woolf in english language classes

Resumen

Virginia Woolf is a great name of the Modernism period. To explore features of this period and Virginia's, work a proposal of a lesson plan was built. This proposal explores students' critical thinking, listening, reading and writing skills based on "The Mark on the Wall" short-story.

Graduated in Literature Lic. in English and English Language Literatures. Participated in the Open Educational Resources (REA) projects for Academic Literacy for the Assessment of Learning in NETWORK and Internationalization, science and discursive participation: bases for the development of teaching material for speaking in academic English. He is interested in teaching English through literature and literary theory.

Currently studying the undergraduate Literature course - Lic. - English, at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Participated in the Language Laboratory project - LabLínguas, at the Colégio Técnico Industrial de Santa Maria (CTISM), linked to UFSM. Participated in the Open Educational Resources (REA) projects for Academic Literacy and NETWORK Learning Assessment. Participated in the Integrated Academic Journey (JAI) in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023, presenting research relating to the area of ​​Literature/Linguistics.
