This article, based on the results of the project The Writing of the Yoris, carried out in 2021, is a description of the first stage of printing in Sonora, from 1825 to the beginning of 1900, its impressions and the first typographers who handled it. Although the northwest of New Spain, especially Sonora, had a late development in terms of printing and publications, compared to other cities in the center of the country, knowing the particular characteristics of its development covers a historiographic gap in the great mosaic. diverse and plural that Mexico has been throughout its history, in addition to contributing new knowledge to the cultural historiography of the north of the country.
