Weaving narratives: an experience report in the art of storytelling

Abstract

This study aims to highlight the experience of a Psychology student involving storytelling and writing, conducted during the Rondon Project in Rondônia, in July 2024. It focuses on the storytelling experience and reflects about the impact of writing, particularly when one chooses to write about simple things. Regarding the objectives, the testimonial nature they carry is emphasized, considering the personal meanings each individual assigns to them, which can evoke memories and tell stories. Initially, the participants told their stories, which allowed them to reflect on the narrative process. Subsequently, writing activities were conducted, encouraging participants to create texts, which in this case, consisted of short stories about simple objects. The exchange of these texts during the meeting enriched the experience, as participants shared sensitive narratives inspired by the proposed object.
