COMMUNITY DIALOGUES STRENGTHENING HEALTH EDUCATION: RADIO SPOTS AS AN ACTIVITY FOR TOP PHARMACY STUDENTS

This paper is intended to describe the experience of an activity targeted at top pharmacy students in the preparation and development of radio spots and their disclosure focusing on health education. It is an experience report derived from an extension project, developed in partnership between PET Enfermagem UFSM/Palmeira das Missões and Landell FM 87.9 Community Radio, since the year 2014. The programs are weekly, lasting 15 minutes and have the participation of two to three nursing students, where at least one is a top pharmacy student. About 40 programs were developed each year, addressing different issues according to the community needs and current issues. During its execution, the development of the project stimulated the involvement of its listeners, highlighting them and making them active participants in their health care. The accomplishment of these activities reinforces the importance of working on health education, with the community through radio, thereby encouraging the practice of health promotion. Furthermore, the insertion of top pharmacy students in the development of health education actions, in the radio setting, has provided fundamental experiences for their training process.
