This study aims to investigate the health and safety of laboratory technicians responsible for physical and chemical analysis of treated water in SANEPAR. Through of the methodologies used were verified the chemical agents, the specifications of the personal protective equipment (PPE) and its use. To assess the damage to workers’ health were checked and compared the tolerance limits for each chemical, according to NR 15 and ACGIH. As in all chemical analysis is the generation of residues, it was necessary to check and indicate the mode of segregation, packaging, labeling and, possible, treatment for them, as well as the final disposal.
