The present study is based in texts written by 262 journalists from four brazilian state capitals, dissertating on the roll of the journalist and PR rep in a non-journalistic organization. The analysis reveals that journalists, for the most, are not familiar with the activity of public relations. At the same time presenting themselves as more responsible for the formation of the organization's image than the public's information.
