Abstract

This text proposes to outline a brief overview of the conditions of production, circulation and consumption of journalism in a social context of deep media coverage, marked by ubiquity and interconnection. Critical-analytical, the article includes a literature review that combines studies of journalism with sociosemiotics, with the premise that media coverage promotes the autonomy of journalistic discourse in time and space and also fosters the access revolution. In the course of the information production cycle, circulation emerges with an instance of repositioning reception, also reconfiguring the role of production and catalyzing new communicative contracts.

Author Biography

Claudiane Oliveira Carvalho Sampaio, Universidade Federal da Bahia Unisba

PhD and Master in Contemporary Communication and Culture from PÓSCOM - Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), graduated in Social Communication, with a degree in Journalism (Facom / UFBA). In the post-doctoral internship, funded by CNPq, he dedicated himself to the study of theoretical approaches to media coverage and circulation applied to journalistic production. Coordinates the Research Group on Communication Theories at Intercom. She is a researcher at the Center for Studies and Research in Discourse Analysis. In graduate school, she is part of the faculty of the Specialization in Strategic Communication and Brand Management, from FACOM / UFBA, and served as a collaborating professor at PÓSCOM, from 2015 to 2018 (period of postdoctoral internships). As an undergraduate, he teaches in the Journalism and Advertising and Advertising courses at the Centro Universitário Social da Bahia (former FSBA), an institution in which he has already coordinated the Journalism course and was part of the communications department. He has professional experience in journalistic writing, television news and strategic communication. He works in the area of Communication, with an emphasis on socio-semiotics, theories of communication and studies of journalism, especially in the following themes: speeches and media, narrative, enunciation, media coverage and circulation.
