Abstract

The process of hyperbolization on the stylistic marks of certain characters, when they are placed in a new diegesis, can be considered a strategy of narrative extension. An example of this phenomenon is the Patrulha Salvadora (Saving Patrol) TV series, which takes the characters previously constructed in the Carrossel telenovela. Therefore, this paper studied, using Stylistics, the transition between the natural and the exaggeration as a way to create a continuing narrative. Besides, it concluded that it’s possible to create narratives starting from an existing one.
