Abstract

The review concisely presents eight articles collected in the thematic dossier entitled Representations of Authoritarianism in Portuguese and Brazilian Literature included in volume nº 9 of the magazine e-Letras com Vida — Revista de Estudos Globales: Humanidades, Ciências e Artes. The common denominator of these texts are the manifestations of authoritarianism in Brazilian literature and Portuguese literature, proven in several aspects. The review demonstrates an important contribution, with the quality of the dossier enriching this thematic field and demonstrating human strength in facing different forms of violence and restrictions in authoritarian regimes in various temporary periods.
