Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Exact Sciences and Technological Applications — JESTA must be original, unpublished, and consistent with the journal’s focus and scope. The journal accepts original research articles and review articles in chemistry, physics, mathematics, and technological applications, especially in engineering, methods, and experiments.

Manuscripts may be submitted in Portuguese, English, or Spanish and must include a title, abstract, and keywords in the main language and in English. Depending on the nature of the study, the manuscript should contain an introduction, materials and methods or methodology, results and discussion, conclusions, acknowledgments, funding statement, conflicts of interest, and references.

To ensure double-anonymous peer review, the manuscript file must not contain names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or any other information that may identify the authors. Such information must be entered only in the submission metadata.

Authors must disclose conflicts of interest, funding sources, ethics committee approval when applicable, and each author’s contribution. The use of artificial intelligence tools must be disclosed when applicable, and such tools cannot be listed as authors.

JESTA does not charge submission, review, processing, or publication fees. Accepted articles are published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License — CC BY-NC 4.0.
