The text addresses the trajectory and production of Jaider Esbell from the perspective of the artist-author, highlighting his role in contemporary Indigenous art (AIC) as a way of moving through the art system. AIC is presented as a collective and practical movement that proposes other ways of seeing, producing, and thinking about art, questioning the parameters of Western art history. Based on direct experiences with the artist, the text emphasizes the importance of Esbell’s cosmovision for understanding his work. It also discusses the presences of Kanaimé and Makunaima as part of a broader framework that integrates different dimensions of life.
