Abstract

Based on the theoretical approaches regarding Complex Interdependence and Energy and Human Security, the purpose of this article is to correlate the impacts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the challenges experienced by the German population in the face of the accelerating energy crisis and, with that, the German government's pursuit of for new sources of renewable energy, in order to respond to the population’s demands. We also seek to analyze how and how much those impacts affected the habits and life perspective of the German population. The methodologies applied were bibliographical research based on books, articles, official government documents, reports from international organizations and journalistic texts, documentary analysis based on the 2022 Eurobarometer (European Commission) and the application of interviews with three German citizens and one Brazilian (resident in Germany for 10 years), granted in June 2023, by digital means.
