Abstract

Laboratory residues involve a complexity of compounds due to the variety of services provided by chemistry laboratory analyses. These analyses generate by-products of variable composition, which must be disposed in a correct method to not cause risks of negative impacts on the natural environment. This work reported the main characteristics of environmental risk of these residues, specific studies which establish evaluation parameters of their toxic effects, and the occurrence risk of incorrect disposal procedures causing environmental changes.
