Abstract

To evaluate the anthropogenic influence on water quality in the basin of the Pinhalzinho II stream in the northwest Umuarama Paranaense, we sought in this work, to determine the total suspended load (CST) and the concentrations of metals: Cu, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cr, Pb, Cd, Se and Zn in the waters. For this purpose we selected four sampling points in the basin. Water samples were collected seasonally in order to analyze all the seasons, due to different weather conditions. Partial results show higher Fe and Mn, which lie above the values allowed by the CONAMA Resolution 357/2005. The total suspended load is mainly composed of organic matter. Key words: environment degradation, soil use, metals, total suspended load
