About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Economia e Desenvolvimento Electronic Journal (ISSN: 2595-833X) is a semi-annual publication (July and January) of unprecedented work related to the economy and the its areas, with the purpose of disseminating the scientific production of researchers of public and private institutions of teaching and research, in the many areas covering economic science.

Peer Review Process

The journal lays on a group of experts of notorious knowledge in the thematic areas of the economic sciences. The originals will be submitted to the approval of evaluators who are experts recognized in the subjects dealt with. The papers will be sent for evaluation without the identification of authorship. The originals will be examined by the editors responsible for analysis of the focus and the standards, which is in accordance with the journal's proposal will be referred to the evaluators. The process of selection of articles involves the evaluation of 1 or 2 specialists and of the members of the editorial board.

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate open access to its contents, following the principle that freeing scientific knowledge to the public provides a greater global democratization of knowledge.

Editorial Board Skills

It is incumbent to the Editorial Board of the Journal to approve or not the work submitted to publication, always based on, at least, two opinions. If approved, it can be suggested some modifications to the author. In case of refusal, the reasons will not be announced. The journal agrees to give a written reply to the author. The author’s and consultants will no be remunerated.

Journal History

It was created in 1995 with printed editions, and by the year of 1999 it started to have its publications available electronically. In 2011 it was integrated to the UFSM’s system of periodicals, starting to follow the pattern of submission and publishing that was already adopted by another journals of the University departments.
