Urban interventions and its means of communication, outspread in different phases reveal a similar logics appeared under a consumist market which needs ou sustains itself turning over itself. To approach post-modernism with its simulacra and simulations constitutes a defying task in the study of the urban space of a polar city in South Brazil, the town of Santa Maria (RS). Three cutouts of its space will suit us as scenarios. As in a photograph, they show at first sight the impact of images, but in a second moment, allow us to observe a well knitted relacional system.
