The article examines the relationship between animated cinema and architecture through the analysis of “Howl’s Moving Castle” directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Cinema plays a crucial role in transmitting political, cultural or social messages, using techniques such as lighting, camera centering and sound to influence the viewer's perception. Therefore, the study aims to understand how technical resources are used in the film to communicate feelings through architecture and scenography. Thus, 6 scenes are analyzed, each associated with an emotion and set in different spaces.
