Abstract

This paper restores and analyses, under the concepts aspects of magazine journalism, the historical series of articles of Veja magazine about the Case of the Kidnapping of the Uruguayans in Porto Alegre. Through 34 texts, published between november of 1978 and december of 1980, the journalist Luiz Cláudio Cunha and his colleagues contributed to avoid the death of the hostages, to identify part of the kidnappers and take them to court in broad military dictatorship. The case, reported in a double condition, as reporter and testimony, revealed the collaboration between the dictatorships of Southern Cone that later would be known as Operation Condor.
