This article aims to analyze how the Movement of Homeless Workers (MTST) and its participants, protagonists in the fight for the right to housing in Brazil, were represented by the most widely circulated newspaper in the country, Folha de S. Paulo, as to the collaboration of the movement’s leader for the vehicle website. To this purpose, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the news coverage published by Folha was carried out using categorizations and elements of journalistic production. The analysis allows us to conclude that in the narratives considered, although the movement's sources were considered, the discursive and imagetic representations of the group, as well as the lack of contextualization about the struggle for housing in the country, led the vehicle not to fully contribute for the understanding of the importance of concretizing this right in Brazil.
