Reverse logistics as a source of socioeconomic and environmental sustainability at COOPASAM Cooperative

The aim of this paper is to verify whether the Reverse Logistics of the packaging of agricultural products add environmental and socioeconomic value to the COOPASAM Cooperative, located in Alto Paraná, Paraguay. The methodological design characterizes the research as descriptive, from the qualitative approach. The case study was used as a method, and data collection was carried out through participant observation and semi-structured interviews with the president, one of the environmental engineers and four members of the cooperative. The main results suggest the existence of environmental and social benefits in the COOPASAM Cooperative through Reverse Logistics. As for the economic benefit, it is not directly present, but the cooperative is moving towards this, that is, it is being driven towards sustainability.Downloads
