Abstract

The main objective of this study was to present the corporate social responsibility program implemented by Banricoop in 2016 – Programa Começar. In that year, the cooperative, who completed 70 years, decided to encourage its more than 8000 members to sign up projects that aimed to improve the quality of life in their communities. 37 projects were entered, from all parts of the Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. This research, that is qualitative, characterized by being a case study was performed on this Cooperative in December 2016 and as some results brings: were invested more than R$ 200.000,00 in the Program. At least 11 municipalities impacted positively by 7 environmental projects developed by members of the Banricoop, being more than 4000 people benefited directly and indirectly throughout the Programa Começar.
