Development of an online course for training nurses on Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs

Objective: To describe the development process of a training course for nurses in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP).
Method: Experience report on the development of an online course, which began with the phases of the theoretical framework of Instructional Design; followed by content validation by experts; creation of visual content; and availability of the course on a digital platform.
Results: The course was designed to equip nurses based on the strategies proposed by the ASP, improving their performance in hospital care and contributing to the reduction of antimicrobial resistance. The course features a single clinical case divided into eight modules, with additional reading materials and a formative assessment.
Conclusion: The course development enabled the creation and validation of a feasible technological resource to enhance nurses' training in the ASP, thus contributing to high-quality nursing care and the reduction of antimicrobial resistance.
