Socio-environmental factors and occurrence of cases of dengue in Guanambi – Bahia

Aim: to describe the social and environmental features present in Basic Care coverage area that can interfere in the occurrence of dengue cases in Guanambi - Bahia, in 2013. Method: this is an exploratory ecological study of multiple groups. The collected data were tabulated and presented in graphs and tables, using the Microsoft Excel program 2010. Results: it was noticed a weakness concerning the correct disposal of garbage, feces, and urine. The Hummingbird, Hill Pascoal, Pond, and San Sebastian areas were identified as the most needy, requiring specific intervention measures due to the state of penury and its relation to the occurrence of infectious and parasitic diseases. Conclusion: new analytical character studies in the area are suggested aiming to identify the main interfering elements in the occurrence of dengue casesDownloads
