Abstract

Studies involving gamification have focused on analyzing the citizen's point of view or strategies that aim to affect the behavior of public servants. No study has focused on promoting communication, cooperation and empathy in public management, even though the feasibility of changing attitudes through gamification tools has been widely studied and proven through the systematic mapping study developed in this study. Aiming to study the literature on the use of games and gamification strategies in public administration, articles related to the topic available in the Web of Science database and published in the last five years were used. As a result, it was possible to identify the tendency to use gamification tools as a strategy for changing attitudes. On the other hand, studies focusing on public servants and how to reduce their reluctance to participate in activities were not found.
