Abstract

The Tutorial Education Program in Social Communication of the Federal University of Santa Maria/RS - acting remotely in the year 2020, due to the suspension of the face-to-face classes from March 16th caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The report on adaptation and execution of teaching, research and extension activities developed by the group that serves three courses: Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations are reported. The work in this context contributes to the formation of petians, beyond the appropriation of contents, because it provides critical and reflective adaptation to the new working conditions; for the maintenance of the bond between students of the courses; therefore, for the legitimization of the public university that remains active and at the same time, preserves public health.
