Contributions to safe nursing practices in pre-hospital care: systematic review

The study aims to identify ten steps for patient safety practices to prevent adverse events in prehospital care. This is a systematic review with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from the following databases: LILACS, Pubmed, Scielo, BVS, ResearchGate, Virtual Nursing Library, FASETE, Medline, Evidence-Based Nursing Systematically, MedicLatina, ResearchDatabases, and Journal of Infection Prevention and Health. Eighty-two articles were synthesized, with sixteen articles excluded because they were duplicates. Of the remaining sixty-six articles, thirty-nine did not fit the proposed theme, were of low quality, and presented unfavorable results. A total of five articles were ultimately used to compose the review. Therefore, it is important that mobile emergency care services implement preventive measures in institutions, such as patient safety centers and training aimed at identifying events that lead professionals to make mistakes and that may cause possible harm to patients.
