About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The Health Journal is an academic-scientific online magazine format that seeks to promote the scientific production from Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Medicine, Dentistry, Occupational Therapy and related areas. Was created in 1978, going to the online version in 2004, and, entering the SEER in 2010. The journal is edited and published by the Center for Health Sciences, Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Federal University of Santa Maria. The Center for Brazilian ISSN (CBISSN International Normalized Number for Serial Publications-International Standard Serial Number) assigned the ISSN number 2236-5834 for the online publication of Health Magazine (Santa Maria) and ISSN number 0103-4499 for the print publication.
Peer Review Process
The papers are received by the Chairman of the Editorial Board, via the Electronic System for Journal Publishing (SEER), who shall submit it to the judgment of the Editorial Board. Then, items that are in the technical standards of the journal will be sent without identification, two external referees. In case of discrepancy in opinions, the article will be sent to a third reviewer. The names of referees will be kept confidential. Assessors are teachers and doctors researchers linked the subject area of the article.
Publication Frequency
The Health Magazine (Sta Maria) has biannually. Since the limit month to publication of the first issue is June and the second number, december.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public knowledge provides largest worldwide democratization of knowledge.
