Custos e efetividade do ensino em externato e internato nos colégios agrícolas de Ssanta Maria e São Vicente do Sul - RS, 1976

Resumo

O objetivo principal do trabalho foi comparar Colégios Agricolas com regime de externato e internato, quanto à eficiência do ensino. Foram escolhidos o Colégio Agrícola General Vargas de São Vicente do Sul (RS) e Colégio Agrícola de Santa Maria (RS), com internato e externato, respectivamente. O estudo realizou-se durante o primeiro semestre de 1976. Como medidas de efetividade, foram considerados: número de conhecimentos, índice de qualidade de conhecimentos, índice de ensino e prova de conhecimentos gerais. A variável “eficiência” consistiu da relação entre efetividade do ensino e custos sociais totais. A análise dos dados foi realizada através do x² (quiquadrado) e do teste "t". Entre as conclusões, as principais foram: (a) a eficiência do ensino em regime de internato é superior ao externato: (b) a efetividade do ensino de Cultura Geral, no regime de externato é superior ao internato; (c) o custo social do aluno em regime de internato é inferior ao do externato. Abstract The main objective of this study was to compare the teaching efficiency in agricultural schools with and without boarding-school regime. The "Colégio Agrícola General Vargas de São Vicente do Sul" was selected as representative of the boarding-school regime, while the "Colégio Agricola de Santa Maria" was chosen as representative of the regime without boarding-school. The study was made during the first semester 1976.As a measure of "effectiveness" the following aspects were considered: number of knowledges, quality index of knowledges,teaching index, and test of general knowledges. The variable "efficiency" was represented by the ratio teaching effectiveness to total social costs. Data were analyzed through the Chi Squate (X² ) and "T" test. The main conclusions were: (a) the teaching efficiency in the boarding-school regime was higher than that without boarding-school regime; (b) the teaching effectiveness in general culture was higher in the school without boarding-school regime; (c) the social cost of the students in boarding-school regime was lower.
