Development of a Microcontrolled Coin Maker to assist in the teaching of Logic and Programming

Abstract

The present work seeks to develop a coin counter, in which, by inserting coins in to a box, an LCD display (16x2) will show the value of the inserted coin, the number of coins in the box, and the total amount of money accumulated in the box.

Diogo Ribeiro Vargas, Federal University of Santa Maria

Diogo Vargas has been a professor, since 2021, at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Cachoeira do Sul campus. Between 2013 and 2021, he was a professor at the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), Pato Branco campus, working in the Academic Department of Electrical.

He has a doctorate (2017), master's degree (2012) and bachelor's degree (2009) in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM)
