Reação de 60 variedades de feijão (Phaseolus vulgaris l.) à raça ba-1 (grupo alfa) de Colletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc. Et Magn.) Scrib

Foi analisado o comportamento de 60 variedades de feijão (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) à raça BA-1 (grupo alfa) de Colletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc. et Magn.) Scrib. 5% das variedades testadas mostraram-se resistentes ao patógeno e 88% suscetíveis. Algumas variedades com características fenotípicas uniformes, mostraram reação mista constituindo 6,6% do material analisado Abstract Sixty varieties of beans (Phaseoles vulgaris L.) were tested for resistance and susceptibility to the BA-1 race (alpha group) of Colletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc. et Magn.) Scrib. Results indicated that 5 per cent of the varieties under test were resistant to the pathogen while 88 per cent of them were found to the susceptible to it. A number of varieties with uniform phenotype showed mixed reaction these accounted for 6,6 per cent of the experimental plant material.
