DESFOLHAMENTO CAUSADO POR LAGARTAS EM SOJA

Resumo

Cinquenta e cinco variedades e oito linhagens de soja foram testadas quanto a intensidade de desfolhamento causado por lagartas, em Santa Maria, RS, na safra 1973/74. Foram constatadas lagartas de doze espécies, sendo 80%, A. gemmatilis. As variedades menos desfolhadas, pelas lagartas, foram Lee-68 e Faxinal, enquanta a variedade IAS-2 e a linhagem CTS-18, sofreram o maior desfolhamento. Abstract The intensity of defoliation caused by lepidopterous larvae in fifty five varieties and eight lines of soybean was studied. Larvae of twelve species of Lepidoptera were identified attacking soybean leaves. 80% of the larvae were velvet bean caterpillar. The soybean varieties Lee-68 and Faxinal presented the least defoliation, while the variety IAS-2 and the line CTS-18, the major defoliation.
