Journal History

The Brazilian Journal of Management - ReA UFSM was founded in 2008 and is published by the Department of Management Sciences of the Center for Social and Human Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Maria.

The concept of publishing the journal emerged and matured from the undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Federal University of Santa Maria. In activity in undergraduate education since 1967, Lato Sensu Postgraduate education since 1995 and Stricto Sensu education since 2003, the Department of Management Sciences has been committed to local, regional, and national academic and business development.

In 2012, the periodical began to follow the principles of the Manual of Good Practices of Scientific Publication proposed by the National Association of Postgraduation and Research in Management (NAPRM). In the same year, the journal adopted the English title Brazilian Journal of Management and aimed to increase its visibility abroad.
