Abstract

Thepresent research was undertaken with black wattle, Acacia mearnsll De Wiil. The objetive was to determine green bark yield, estimated through an equation obtained by a production model, related to age, dominat height and basal area, expressed by the generic model: log C = b0 + b1 h0² + b2 log G, where C = green bark weight per hectare: G= basal area per hectare:  h0 = dominat height. This equation showed a high precision. The independent variables, dominat height and basal area explicated 97,8% of the green bark yieldvariation per hectare.
